Bhang Gujiya Recipe Ingredients
- For Gujiya:
- 4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1½ cup Ghee
- ¼ cup Water
- For Filling:
- 1 cup Sugar
- 200 gram Khoya
- 1 tbsp Bhang Seed Powder
- 1 tbsp Almonds, chopped
- 1/4 cup Semolina
- 1/4 tsp Green Cardamom
How to Prepare
Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, combine ghee and flour. Gradually add water while kneading the mixture into a soft dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 60 minutes to soften.
Make the Filling: In a pan, fry quickly in a little hot fat khoya and semolina until they turn golden brown. Let the mixture cool, then add sugar, bhang powder, cardamom, and chopped almonds. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
Shape and Fill the Gujiyas: Roll out the dough into thick circles. Place 1 ½ teaspoons of the prepared filling in the center of each round. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges using wet fingers to secure them tightly.
Fry and Serve: Heat ghee in a deep frying pan. Once it’s hot, carefully deep fry the gujiyas on medium heat until they become golden brown. Serve them hot and enjoy this delightful treat!
