Leftover Dal Cheela Ingredients
- 1 bowl Dal
- 2-3 tbsp Besan
- 1 tsp Onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Green Chillies, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp Coriander leaves
- Oil to fry
How to Prepare
Take a bowl of leftover dal and add some besan (gram flour), chopped onions, fresh coriander leaves, and green chilies. Stir everything together really well until you get a smooth batter. The batter should be thick but easy to pour. If it seems too thick, you can add a little water but don’t make it too runny.
Next, heat a pan over medium heat and add a little oil to grease it. Once the pan is hot, pour a ladle of the batter onto the pan. Use the back of the ladle to spread the batter gently, but keep it a bit thick. This will help the cheela become crispy on the outside and soft inside.
Let the cheela cook for a few minutes until the bottom turns golden and crispy. Then, flip it over carefully and cook the other side. Once both sides are nicely browned, your dal cheela is ready to eat. Enjoy it hot with some chutney or yogurt for a tasty and healthy meal!
