Andhra Style Guntur Idli Recipe Ingredients

  1. 5-6 steamed idlis
  2. 7-8 guntur chilies
  3. 11/2 Tbsp tur dal
  4. 11/2 Tbsp chana dal
  5. 11/2 Tbsp urad dal
  6. 1-2 Tbsp coriander seeds
  7. 1 sesame seeds
  8. 1 tsp black pepper or pepper powder
  9. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  10. Pinch of hing
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. 1 small piece tamarind

How to Prepare

  1. Heat 3-4 tablespoons of ghee in a pan on low flame.
  2. Add the steamed idlis to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. Sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of Guntur powder over the idlis and gently toss to coat them evenly.
  4. Add more ghee if the idlis appear dry.
  5. Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup for a flavorful meal.
