Ingredients for South Indian Dahi Kadhi Recipe
- 1 Cup dahi
- 4 tbsp freshly grated coconut
- 2 green chillies
- 1 tsp roasted jeera
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 6-8 curry leaves
- 2 whole red chilli
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt, as per taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- coriander leaves, to garnish , finely chopped
How to Prepare
1. Take the coconut, green chillies and roasted jeera in a blender and make a paste.
2. Make a runny liquid by adding water to dahi.
3. Add some turmeric to it.
4. Now, transfer the liquid to a kadhai and add coconut paste to it. Simmer for some time.
5. Add water and keep stirring occasionally to avoid lumps. Add salt as per taste.
6. Meanwhile, prepare a tadka with oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilli to the kadhi.
7. Serve with steamed rice.
